Photos from the Idealist book launch party

It took some time to post these pics cause we’ve been moving to Brussels and things have been hectic. The good news is that we are already here and that the book is already in our hands.
The party was great, we met the other artists who participated in the book and had a fun evening.
The book is really something, exceptional quality and beautiful for the senses.
The owner of the boxing ring where the opening party was held at first seemed happy, dressed in a suit and sunglasses, looking like a padrino. But after he saw our video installation which included a big video of a naked man, he progressively got more and more angry as the night carried on. Luckily we didn’t have to deal with him, although it was very amusing. Just thought that it was worth mentioning.
Here are some photos of the party that was held at the boxing ring in Berlin with around 400 guests.

Here it is, the first edition of “Idealist” which has “Kampfgeist” (fighting spirit) as it’s theme, our project (16 pages) was made almost entirely in videos and then transformed into 2D for the book. It’s always a challenge to transform videos to 2D but the results were gratifying.

Above is one of the videos that we played at the launch party, this is one of a series of 7 dreams shown on ipads on the mirrors of the boxing studio.

Another “dream” video with an anonymous observer.

Here’s Martin on the right, the publisher of the “idealist”.

In the center stands Bimal, the curator.

There was a cake, but sadly we never got to taste it, it got devoured too fast.

Here’s Waty signing the 20 special edition books that were signed by all of the artists.

Signed books.

Guest list.

Party people.

People gathering around the book, waiting to see it.

People viewing the “idealist”.

Some peeks inside.
